How we got here.
We are family of many individual strong spirits, starting with my great, great grandfather, William Mulholland, who was the engineer of the Los Angeles Aqueduct. My grandfather, Richard, had the foresight in the 1950s to relocate to Orange Cove to farm in this ideal citrus growing area of California. Today we feel very fortunate; there’s nowhere else we’d rather be, and we’ll be farming here forever.
The next generation.
I had the good fortune to grow up in this beautiful valley, and to establish my roots in the same place where my dad grew up and where my grandparents farmed. I want to continue to be good stewards of this land, cultivating practices that are sustainable so my daughter, nieces and nephew can farm here and make California citrus available for the next generation.
What I love about being a Sunkist grower.
We’ve been with Sunkist now for four generations; it’s something we take a lot of pride in and we plan to continue for generations to come. One thing my dad passed on to us is to find what you love and love what you do. We really take that to heart. Growing citrus is in our blood. It’s our way of life, and we love it every single day.
